Every Thursday the Martial Arts Club meets immediately after school. They gather to develop a full range of self-defense techniques covering strikes, throws, takedowns, chokes, joint locks and situational personal defenses. In addition to self-defense, the club spars and practices yoga and meditative breathing procedures. The goal is to utilize these skills in developing the students as more complete individuals harnessing their natural mental abilities to improve focus, concentration, discipline and self-confidence.
