Alex Tucker Signs To Play Baseball at Nicholls State University

Senior Alex Tucker has signed to play baseball at Nicholls State University on a baseball/academic scholarship.

Tucker is a varsity catcher, an honor student and a member of the national honor society.

íÍNicholls is a very welcoming university.  I like the size of the campus and believe it is a good fit for me,íñ commented Tucker.  íÍThe coaches and the facilities are great and I look forward to the academic and athletic opportunities there,íñ added Tucker.

Seth Thibodeaux, head baseball coach at Nicholls, is very excited to add Tucker to their Colonel Baseball Family.  íÍAlex is not only a great baseball player and student, but also he is a first class young man who possesses qualities that we look for in recruits,” commented Thibodeaux.  “He comes from a wonderful family and a wonderful school (Catholic High) and we are honored to have him represent our university, not only the next four years, but also for the rest of his life,íñ added Thibodeaux.

As a senior, Alex is looking forward to playing varsity as a catcher.  Catholic High Head Baseball Coach Brad Bass believes Alex has great talent behind the plate and that íÍHe possesses great leadership skills which are critical in the position of catcher.íñ

Alex is the son of Tommy and Tonya Tucker and has a brother, Andrew, who is a freshman at Catholic High.
