CHS Faculty, Staff and Students Participate in St. Jude Walk
íÍI have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.íñ
– 2 Timothy 4:7
CHS faculty, staff and students came together to walk for a cause on Saturday, Nov. 22 at the St. Jude Walk. They came together as Team Kirklin.
Kirklin Roberts, a 2014 graduate of Catholic High, was the motivation of the day. Roberts was diagnosed with cancer as a student at CHS. St. Jude Childrení´s Research Hospital has played a vital role in treating Kirklin and other kids alike. Wearing íÍTeam Kirkliníñ shirts, the Bears, including the CHS Cheerleaders, Lacrosse and Baseball players, came out to show their support for both Kirklin and St. Jude.
It is with a heavy heart that we ask for your prayers for the Roberts family. After a long and hard-fought battle with cancer, Kirklin sadly passed away on Sunday, Nov. 23.
íÍAs we remember our blessings this week, let us all remember to thank God for the gift that Kirklin was to Catholic High. He loved CHS and we are a better school because of him,íñ commented CHS Principal Lisa Harvey.
Forever Team Kirklin.
