Catholic High School honored long-time coach and Grizzly Greats Athletic Hall of Famer, Pete Boudreaux ’59, on Saturday, July 15, at the dedication of the Pete Boudreaux ’59 Track and the unveiling of the Pete Boudreaux ’59 Bust. Family and friends gathered to celebrate his lifetime of service and achievement advancing the mission of Catholic High School. The Bust will be displayed on the Pete Boudreaux ’59 Track in a special plaza on the northeast corner.
This year marks the completion of Boudreaux’s 50th year as a teacher and coach at Catholic High School. In those 50 years, he has won 46 state titles in track and field, and cross country. Earlier this school year, Boudreaux was named the 2016 Boys National High School Track & Field Coach of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, and was inducted into the National High School Hall of Fame.
