The CHS track & field team cruised its way to a 7-0 season record, and a convicning team win in the Grizzly Relays. The Bears were victorious in ten of the Grizzly Relays' eighteen events to rack up 226 points. Episcopal was next with 144 and Parkview Baptist was third with 74 points.
Senior Kam Cummings led the Bears with first place finishes in the 110 hurdles, the 300 hurdles and the triple jump. Cummings also had a runner-up finish in the long jump. Sethan Hollier continued to post blistering times in the 100 and 200 meters en route to wins over his competition.
Other winners for the Bears included:
Zach Tom (Shot Put); Matthew Berdon (Discus); and Harold Miller (1600 meters).
The Bears also hit the tape first in the 4x200 and 4x400 meter relay events.
The Bears return to action on Thursday, April 20, in the 5-5A District meet. The Bears will be shooting for their fifth district title in a row and fortieth since 1972. Things get underway at 3:30 p.m. at Catholic High.
