CHS Swim Team Wins Second Meet of Season

The Vociferous Juggernaut, your Catholic High swim team, won their second meet last weekend. Individuals placing first were Chris Buchart, Todd Burford, Bingham Giamalva and Chris Sollie. CHS also won all three relays. Four Catholic High School Seniors Named Nationally Recognized Semifinalists

Four seniors from Catholic High School were named National Merit Semifinalists. Those students named were Nick Boudreau, Brian DeJean, Grayson Young and Sam Harbourt.These young men took the PSAT/NMSQT in October 2004 and performed exceptionally well. The selection index this year was 211 ' two points higher than it was the previous year. As semifinalists they are eligible to compete for a variety of scholarships from colleges and universities as well as from corporations subsidizing the National Merit Program....

Brother Gordian Udinsky Science Center Dedicated

Catholic High School dedicated its new Science Center on Sunday, September 11 at 5 p.m. on the school grounds.Brother Francis David, SC, CHS president, announced that the building, a two-story, 26,000-square-foot facility, would be known as the Brother Gordian Udinsky Science Center. The Center features 10 laboratory classrooms'two each for biology, chemistry, physics, environmental science and computer science. Both hard-wired and wireless technology is used throughout the Center to create multi-media presentations, to supplement lab experiences, to record data, to access computer-assisted experiments and to link knowledge learned across curriculum areas. The Center is the second facility to be completed...
