Brother Eldon 5K Run Set For February 19 on Campus

All alumni, friends, family, kids, and area runners are invited to participate in the annual Brother Eldon 5K Run & One Mile Run/Walk/Jog on Saturday, February 19, 2005 benefiting the Brother Eldon Crifasi, SC '39 Endowed Scholarship. The event will commence with registration at 7 am outside of the new Health & PE Center. Key Club Celebrates 50 Years of 'Caring - Our Way of Life'

Catholic High School held its first Key Club meeting on November 4, 1954. Fifty years later, on November 4, 2004, 10 past Key Club presidents returned to Catholic High School to celebrate 50 years of service at the 2004 - 2005 Induction Ceremony. All past presidents and state or regional officers were invited to attend. Brett Blanchard '92, former Key Club president, addressed guests attending the ceremony. CHS Says Goodbye To Lifetime Friend Phyllis DiVincenti

Catholic High School said goodbye to a dear friend and longtime employee with the death of Phyllis DiVincenti on December 24, 2004. Phyllis retired from CHS in 2003 after 25 years of serving as teacher, guidance counselor, administrator, student activities director and associate director of alumni relations. Affectionately known as 'Miss D', Phyllis treasured her work with students and with the alums. On November 4, in one of the most nationally publicized congressional elections, Jeff Fortenberry '78 was elected to the United States Congress in Nebraska. Fortenberry began thinking of a career in politics early in life while studying in his Civics class, one of his favorite subjects at Catholic High School.
