CHS Football

Congratulations to the Catholic High Football 'B' Team for its great showing last night in the False River Academy Jamboree. Your Bears defeated East Iberville's varsity team by a score of 20-0 and then dropped a close contest to Livonia's varsity by a score of 6-0. Great job Bears! Tonight the varsity team plays Bishop Sullivan in the all-Catholic Jamboree at Redemptorist. Early kick-off is set for 5:30. Get your tickets in the Bookstore for this exciting match-up....

Bear Camp 2004

The 2004 Bear Camp held Sunday, August 24, 2004 at CHS was attended by approximately 100 8th and 9th graders. The purpose of the event, sponsored by the CHS student council, was to introduce students to the variety of extracurriculars offered on campus. The event also allowed the boys the opportunity to meet other students, learn different cheers performed at athletic functions and also learn about the CHS fans in general. The CHS cheerleaders, Bruinettes and pep band performed for the students as well....

Three 2004 Catholic High School graduates have signed to play collegiate baseball. Bradley Carville and Jared Bonvillain will play for Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama. Aaron Lorio will pitch for Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana....

Alumni Tailgate Party

Catholic High School alumni will reunite for a Jambalaya Dinner at Olympia Stadium on Friday, September 24, 2004. This homecoming tailgate party will begin at 5:30 p.m. and last until kick-off. At 7 p.m. the Catholic High School Bears will play Tara High for their 2004 homecoming game. The dinner is free for all alumni. Bear Camp

Catholic High School will host Bear Camp for all 8th and 9th grade students from 3 p.m. ' 5 p.m. on August 22, 2004. There will be skits in the gym, games in the courtyard and club information in the union. It is a great way to meet new people and become acclimated to CHS traditions. This event is free. National Youth Leadership Forum on Technology

Four Catholic High School seniors participated in the National Youth Leadership Forum on Technology (NYLF/TECH) in San Jose, California from July 26 through August 4, 2004. Devin Davis '05, Robbie Leumas '05, Joseph Calvasina '05 and Stephen Persac '05 joined more than 1,600 outstanding high school juniors and seniors from across the United States at the Forum. All students attending have demonstrated academic achievement and an interest in a career related to science and technology.
