Alumni Association Hosts 10th Annual Fishing Rodeo

The Catholic High School Alumni Association hosted the 10th Annual CHS Alumni Fishing Rodeo in Fourchon, LA, on June 2-4. With almost 300 registered anglers, the CHS faithful invaded the Gulf coast for three days of fellowship and fishing. CHS Announces 2017-2018 Grizzly Greats Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees

Catholic High School is proud to announce the Grizzly Great Athletic Hall of Fame inductees for the 2017-2018 year. Patrick Coogan ’93, Corey Gaines ’94, Major Applewhite ’97 and Donnie Jones ’99 will be formally inducted at the Grizzly Great Athletic Hall of Fame induction banquet in spring 2018. Corey Gaines graduated from Catholic High School in 1994 as a Man of the Year and one of the most prolific three-sport athletes in CHS history. Jenny Ridge Joins Staff In CHS Office of Advancement

Catholic High School is pleased to announce that Jenny Ridge has joined the staff of the Catholic High School Office of Advancement. Ridge will serve as the new Associate Director of Alumni Relations, replacing Barbara Camp who retired after 19 years of dedicated service to CHS. For the past nine years, Ridge has worked in development and communications for the Mental Health Association of Greater Baton Rouge. Register Online For 10th Annual Fishing Rodeo

Registration is open for the 10th Annual Catholic High School Fishing Rodeo on June 1-3, 2017 at Chris Moran’s Marina – The Pavilion on Flotation Canal Road in Port Fourchon. 2016 - 2017 Grizzly Greats Honored At Induction Ceremony

Four Catholic High alumni were inducted into the CHS Grizzly Greats Athletic Hall of Fame at a banquet held on April 1, 2017, at De La Ronde Hall. Those inducted were Dr. Michael Blanchard ’90, Wesley Salmon ’91, Jonathan Pixley ’92 and the late Warren Virgets ’48. National Honor Society Presents Check To 4thekids Baton Rouge

The CHS National Honor Society presented a check to James Chastain ’14, a member of the Board of Directors for 4thekids on March 16. "It’s always great to see CHS alumni who are still embracing the charism of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart by serving in the community," said NHS moderator Sherry Brouillette. 18th Annual Brother Eldon 5k Draws Over 300 Participants

The 18th Annual Brother Eldon 5K Run and One-Mile Run/Walk/Jog, hosted by the Catholic High School Alumni Association, drew over 300 participants. Participants competed in the one-mile run/walk/jog and the 5K events. A highlight of the day was a celebration of Brother Eldon’s 75 years of service as a Brother of the Sacred Heart. After the race, alumni, families and friends enjoyed live music in the CHS courtyard provided by Pocket Change and delicious food and beverages provided by local vendors. CHS Partners with Warrick Dunn ’93 to Dedicate Habitat House

“There’s no place like home.” The Perkins family was reminded of that famous movie quote during a prayer dedication on the front porch of their new home on Friday, Feb. 24, 2017. When the CHS community gathered for the dedication of their sponsored Habitat for Humanity home, there were a couple of surprises in store for homeowner Latrenda Perkins and her two children. Glen Randow To Retire After 40 Years Of Service

After 40 years of service at Catholic High School, Director of Alumni Relations Glen Randow will retire at the end of July. “The opportunity to be associated with Catholic High School for 40 years has been a fantastic experience. Maurice Coleman '82 Recognized As Catholic High School's 2017 Distinguished Graduate

Catholic High School alumnus Maurice Coleman ’82 was honored by the Diocese of Baton Rouge as Catholic High Schools 2017 Distinguished Graduate during its annual Distinguished Graduate Awards Dinner on Jan. 31, at the Renaissance Baton Rouge Hotel. After graduating from CHS in 1982, Coleman attended LSU where he earned his Bachelor of Science and MBA.  Currently, Coleman serves as the Deputy Chief Investment Officer for the Teachers’ Retirement System of Louisiana. Brother Eldon 5K Race Set For Saturday, March 11

The 18th annual Brother Eldon 5K Run and One-Mile Run/Walk/Jog will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Catholic High School. Online registration is now closed. Walk-up registration begins at 7:30 a.m. on race day.  Register in advance to be guaranteed a long-sleeved, moisture wicking T-shirt on race day.
