Alumni Clay Shoot Draws Over 30 Alumni and Friends

The fifth annual Alumni Association Sporting Clay Shoot was held at Hunter’s Run Gun Club, Saturday, April 4. A 75-target walking course designed by the staff at Hunter’s Run challenged over 30 alumni and friends. There were eight teams competing for top team honors. Additional individual awards were presented for Top Gun, Most Potential and Young Gun.

The top team award went to Dana Vutera, Lee Milton, Brett Milton and Russel Young. Second place winners were the team of Don Delaville ’53, Dale Delaville ’76, Sonny Daniels, Gerald Geisler and Ed Rodriquez. Third place honors went to the team of Brenten Hoyt, Kyle Heath ’96, Chris Abadie ’78 and Bert Wintz. The coveted Top Gun award was won by Randy Brown ’75, Most Potential Award was won by Sam DiVincenti ’67, and Young Gun Award was won by CHS freshman, James Donohue.

Lunch was provided by Sean Malone of Serrano’s Salsa Company and drinks provided by the Baton Rouge Coca Cola Bottling Company.

Mark Emonet ’87 and Flint Virgets ’78 co-chaired this year’s event. Committee members were Camp Matens ’60, Dana Vutera, Scott Ritter ’93 and Alumni Director
Glen Randow.
