Catholic High To Honor Lives Lost on September 11, 2001

On September 11, 2001, Lieutenant Michael Scott Lamana í´88 died while working in the Pentagon.  Lamana received a military funeral in Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C. He was a member of the U.S. Navy and was stationed in Arlington, Va. at the time of his death.  He served in many different capacities and in various locations worldwide in the Navy, including Hawaii, where he was a Naval Flight Officer.  Lamana last served as Briefer to the Chief of Naval Operations and Secretary of the Navy. 

On September 12, 2011, Catholic High School will remember Lt. Scott Lamana, class of 1988, at a school-wide Mass.  The CHS Alumni Office would like to invite members of the Class of 1988 to attend Mass.  Mass will begin at 9:47 a.m.

In addition to this time of remembrance, the America Supports You Freedom Walk will be held on Sunday, September 11 at 8:30 a.m. at the USS Kidd Veterans Memorial.  The Freedom Walk is organized to reflect on the lives lost on September 11, 2001 including Catholic High School graduate Lt. Michael Scott Lamana í´88.
