CHS Alumni Association To Eliminate Dues
The Catholic High School Alumni Board of Directors, after lengthy discussion and evaluation, voted to eliminate membership dues effective January 1, 2009.
A letter from alumni board president David Beach ’96 announcing this decision was mailed to the active alumni membership on December 10, 2008.
In an excerpt from the letter Beach wrote, ‘We are well into our 2008-2009 Alumni Year, and as a result of the overwhelming generosity and participation of our Catholic High family, we have taken a bold step by eliminating membership dues, effective January 1, 2009, thus making every graduate of Catholic High School a full-fledged member of the alumni association. We evaluated this decision carefully and thoughtfully and ultimately recognized that our association’s mission is to strengthen our commitment to our school, renew and increase the bonds of friendship, and promote continued involvement of graduates dispersed around the world. These goals can best be attained through an inclusive platform.’
