CHS Announces New Defensive Coordinator Hire
BATON ROUGE, LA – April 30, 2021 – Catholic High School announces the hiring of Devin Ducote as the Defensive Coordinator of the school’s football program. He joins new hires David Simoneaux (Head Coach) and Zack Morris (Offensive Coordinator) for the 2021 Season.
Ducote, a Baton Rouge native and two-sport, all-star athlete at Parkview Baptist, attended Stephen F. Austin State University where he was a four-year team captain and All-Southland Conference Linebacker. His career total of 414 tackles ranked second in the NCAA’s FCS Division, and his total of assists (238) ranked first.
CHS Principal Lisa Harvey says Catholic High School is fortunate that Devin Ducote has joined the faculty.
“I am excited to see what his gifts and talents bring to our football program,” says Principal Lisa Harvey. “His experience, local connection, and strong values are a perfect fit with the tradition of Catholic High, and I look forward to seeing the positive environment that all of our coaches will provide for our student-athletes.”

Ducote comes to CHS from the University of Central Florida and has collected collegiate coaching experiences at LSU, Auburn, Kansas, and his alma mater, Stephen F. Austin. Prior to this, he spent time as the Defensive Coordinator at West Feliciana High School.
“We are excited to bring Devin into the CHS Football family. He brings a strong combination of college and high school coaching experience that will serve our student-athletes well,” says Ben DiPalma ‘00, rising CHS Athletic Director for the 2021-2022 season.
