CHS Announces New President
The Catholic High School Board of Directors announced that it has appointed Gerald E. (Gene) Tullier to be president of Catholic High School, effective July 1, 2006.
Tullier will succeed Brother Francis David, SC, who has been elected Provincial of the New Orleans Province of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart.
A native of Baton Rouge, Tullier is a graduate of Sacred Heart Elementary School and St. Joseph Cathedral Prep. He received his B.A. in Philosophy from St. Joseph Seminary College in Covington, a Masters in Theological Studies from Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans and a M.Ed. from the University of New Orleans.
Tullier was program director for Refugee Services at the Associated Catholic Charities in New Orleans before joining the faculty of Brother Martin High School in New Orleans in 1978.
At Brother Martin, Tullier has served as religion and English teacher, department chair, assistant principal, vice principal and, since 1999, as principal.

As president of CHS, Tullier is the chief executive officer of the school. He oversees the budgeting and financing of the school and is responsible for the direction of the school’s policies in achieving the mission of CHS.

Tullier has been married to Adriane Winchester Tullier for 30 years and they have three children ‘ Damien, Marcel and Jeanne.
