CHS Key Club To Hold Canned Food Sculpture Contest
The Catholic High School Key Club will host the first Canned Food Sculpture Contest on Sunday, March 2 from 12 ‘ 2 p.m. between the Health & Physical Education building and track. Each club from CHS has been invited to participate. At least six teams have committed including CHS Ambassadors, Student Council, Spanish Club, Bruin, Bearly Published, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Key Club. Each team, made of no more than 10 students, will bring a minimum of 150 cans they have collected as a club to use in their sculptures. Judging will be provided by CHS faculty members.
All canned food collected for the contest will be donated to the Baton Rouge Food Bank. Mr. Mike Manning, president and CEO of the Baton Rouge Food Bank will be in attendance to accept the donation.
