CHS Soccer Players Selected to All-District Teams

The Advocate recently released the all-district soccer teams for the Baton Rouge area. Many Bears off the 2016 Division I semifinalist squad made the first and second team all-district teams.

First team all-district members include Cole Cazenave, forward; Matthew Morales, midfielder; and Bobby Lee, defender. Second team all-district members include Michael Focht, midfielder; Nik Brooksher, defender; Drew Barrios, midfielder; and Nicholas Davies, midfielder.
Senior Bobby Lee was selected as the Overall MVP for The Division I, District 3 team. Josh McReynolds was tabbed as Coach of the Year for the squad. McReynolds, in his first year directing the Bears, led the kickballers to playoff upsets over St. Amant and Jesuit before a great effort in the semifinals against nationally ranked St.Paul’s.

McReynolds will return first team all-district freshman forward Cole Cazenave, part-time starting sophomore keeper Patrick Riley and sophomore defender Eli Weathers for the ’16-’17 club.
