CHS Sophomore Earns Eagle Scout Ranking
Catholic High School sophomore Andr_ Aguillard has spent countless hours working towards the distinction of earning the title of Eagle Scout. Only one in 99 scouts will achieve this rank. Beginning at the age of 11, the scouts begin working on the 21 required merit badges needed to earn the rank, as well as completing a service project for a non-profit organization to demonstrate leadership, in order to become an Eagle Scouts by the age of 18.
He joins many current and former Catholic High students who have obtained the rank of Eagle Scout.
Andr_’s Eagle Scout project benefited the Lioní´s Club and their mission to help those individuals with vision impairments. Andre oversaw a group of volunteers who collected eye ware over the course of a weekend and presented almost 250 pair of glasses to the Lioní´s Club for distribution in Africa.
Aguillard is a member of Troop 888 at St. Andrewí´s Methodist Church & Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
