CHS To Face Brother Martin in Quarter-Final Round of Football Playoffs – Ticket Information

The CHS Football team wrapped up their regular season with a win over McKinley on Thursday, November 5, 28-16.  The Bears will also share a piece of the 5-5A District Championship, the 17th in school history.

The Bears enter the Division I LHSAA playoffs as the number six seed and will face number three seed Brother Martin.  The contest will be a quarterfinal rematch of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart schools.

Kickoff is slated for Friday, November 20, at 7 p.m. at Tad Gormley Stadium in New Orleans.  Stay tuned for more details coming in the next couple of days. Tickets will be available Monday, November 16 in the bookstore for $8 in advance. Tickets will also be available at the gate for $10.

OFFENSE – Junior Chris Cameron graded out at 89 percent from his tight end/H back position.  Cameron had a great week of practice, and was physical and technical during the win over the Panthers.

DEFENSE – Senior nose guard K.J. Wilson earned the honor for the defense versus McKinley.  Wilson stepped up to the plate to stop a potent Panther run game and provided pressure on the McKinley quarterback.

SPECIAL TEAMS – Senior Connor Bowen returned two punts for 21 yards, had a solo tackle on kickoff coverage and has been consistent all year on five of the six special teams units.

CUR DOG AWARD – Junior running back James Berrigan took every rep at the position during the week and showed great effort in the process.
