Class of 2021 Reflects on Spiritual Relationships at Senior Retreat
The Class of 2021 went on their Senior Retreat Monday and Tuesday earlier this week. On Monday, Seniors spread out to five area retreat sites to spend the day reflecting on their relationships with self, God, and family. Led by CHS faculty, alumni, parents, Brothers, and priests, students experienced prayers, talks, and a Reconciliation service highlighting their encounter with a Trinitarian God. Day two of the retreat (Tuesday) began at 1:00 pm on the CHS track and field for Olympic Games. The Seniors were divided into teams and competed in obstacle courses, dodgeball tournaments, cornhole competitions, spike ball games, basket toss competition and a special Class of 2021 edition of Family Feud. Olympic Games were followed by mass and supper in the Student Center. The large group sharing among the seniors during the mass was phenomenal.
Seniors received their caps and gowns at the conclusion of the supper– a symbol of the start of graduation season. We sincerely hope that the messages shared with our Seniors during the retreat were taken to heart and that our seniors were drawn nearer to God and formed deeper bonds of brotherhood through this experience. Thank you to all faculty, alumni, parents, Brothers and priests for their help in making the Senior retreat a success!
