Linda and Jerry Marchand ’49 To Be Inducted into CHS Hall of Fame
Mr. and Mrs. Gerald H. Marchand í´49 will be inducted into the Catholic High School Hall of Fame December 5, 2013 at the 29th Annual Hall of Fame Induction and Founders Banquet at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center.
In 1963, Jerry married the former Linda Kron. Together, Catholic High School and many others in the Baton Rouge area have benefitted from their service and generosity.
Linda has been active with the Junior League of Baton Rouge, the Red Cross, the Heart Association, and Cancer Society of Greater Baton Rouge. She was very active in the Catholic High Mothersí´ Club and served as President in 1986.
Jerry has been involved with the Young Mení´s Business Club, the Heart Association, the Rotary Club, and avid supporter of Ducks Unlimited and the Gulf Coast Conservation Association.
In 1975, Jerry was inducted as a Catholic High Grizzly Great; he was later inducted into the L.S.U. Hall of Fame in recognition of his accomplishments in football and baseball; and he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Outdoor Advertising Association of America.
Linda and Jerry have three children: Matt, CHS Class of 1984; Paul, CHS Class of 1986, and Tena, SJA Class of 1988.
The Catholic High School Hall of Fame honors those men and women whose commitment and dedication to Catholic High School have been exemplary, and whose lives can be an inspiration to the students of CHS.
