13th Annual Brother Eldon 5K Draws Over 200 Runners
In spite of the harsh weather conditions over 200 runners participated in the 13th Annual Brother Eldon 5K Run and One-Mile Run/Walk/Jog on Saturday, March 3, 2012.
Fresh fruit was provided by Hi Nabor and Capitol City Produce. Beverages were provided by Baton Rouge Coca Cola Bottling Company and Smoothie King. After the race, runners were treated with delicious food in the CHS gym provided by Peteí´s Lagniappe Catering, Mary Miller Catering, The Cuban Connection, and Bill and Cynthia Steele.
This yearí´s 5K committee chairman was Dr. Ryan Perry í´95. Perry was assisted by committee members Randy Ellis í´65, Tr_ Hendry í´90 and John McLindon í´81.
