19th Annual Brother Eldon 5K Draws More Than 350 Participants

The 19th Annual Brother Eldon 5K, hosted by the Catholic High School Alumni Association, drew more than 350 participants. Participants competed in the one-mile run/walk and the 5K event. After the race, alumni, families and friends enjoyed delicious food and beverages provided by local vendors. Title Sponsor of the event was Home Instead Senior Care, owned by CHS Grad Matt Cohn ‘96.

Brother Eldon Crifasi, SC ’39 and the race committee would like to thank the sponsors, volunteers and race participants for their support of this year’s event, proceeds of which go toward the Brother Eldon Crifasi `39 Endowed Scholarship Fund, providing assistance for CHS students with financial needs.

Overall one- mile winners were Logan Antie `20 (male) and Quin Langely (female). Overall 5K winners were Joseph Ellis `21 (male) and Isabelle Brown (female). Overall masters winners were Daryl Blink (male) and Helena Chan (female). Taylor Mayeaux `07 was the top alumni runner.

Scott Lanehart `95 (Chairman), John Paul Luckett `81, Davis Prescott `01, Kyle Smith `95, Denny Vicknair `63, and Tim Welborn `92. The committee was assisted by members of the CHS Alumni Board of Directors.
