2010 Bruin Takes First Place in Louisiana Scholastic Press Association Yearbook Awards

Members of the 2010 Bruin staff dominated the Louisiana Scholastic Press Association yearbook awards. The book Everyday Matters swept first place honors in all available categories, including Feature Writing, Feature Photography, Feature Layout, Sports Writing, Sports Photography and Sports Layout.  

Bruin members receiving awards were James Morvant, first place in Feature Photography; Patrick Richmond, second place in Feature Photography; Michael Lacombe, third place in Feature Photography; Patrick Richmond, Matthew Moore, Corey Brignac and Matthew Landry, first place in Feature Layout; Patrick Richmond and Matthew Moore, first place in Sports Layout; Chandler Rome, second place in Sports Layout; Evan Ashy, third place in Sports Layout; Grant Grenfell, first place in Sports Writing; Corey Brignac, second place in Sports Writing; Kevin Ottsen and Chandler Rome, third place in Sports Writing; Patrick Richmond, Matthew Moore, Corey Brignac and Matthew Landry, first place in Feature Writing; Tyler Carlos, Evan Herrmann and Chris LaBauve, second place in Feature Writing; Chandler Rome, Spencer Blackwell, Zack Louis and Kevin Ottsen, third place in Feature Writing; Bradley Brian, first place in Sports Photography; and Alex Holmes, third place in Sports Photography.

Winners will receive their awards at an awards ceremony in the fall.
