March 18 | A Message From Brian Hightower ’97, Director of Alumni Relations
Catholic High School has suspended classes on campus and transitioned to a Teacher Supported Online Learning (TSOL) platform for our students until Tuesday, April 14. Over the last several days, under the guidance of the administration, faculty and staff have worked diligently to develop an online learning program that is both meaningful and rigorous. While the delivery of instruction has changed, our focus and commitment to our families and the mission of Catholic High School has not: To teach Gospel values in an environment of academic excellence according to Catholic tradition and the spirit of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart.
During the suspension of classes on campus, all school events, including athletic practices and competitions are either cancelled or postponed. That rule will also apply to all Alumni events currently scheduled including the 50 Year Reunion (May 2), Dallas Area Alumni Social (May 5) and the Austin Area Alumni Social (May 7). At this time, the status of the CHS Fishing Rodeo is unknown – we will keep you all posted as events unfold.
The CHS community has faced challenges before, but with each, we have reaffirmed our belief in each other, in the mission of this institution and the love and grace of Jesus Christ, and have emerged stronger than before. This will be no different. It may be a long journey, but it will be a journey we will travel together. Even in the midst of this great uncertainty, rest assured Catholic High School will continue to be guided by the Charism of Fr. André Coindre and the spirit and faith of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart. Let us continue to pray for each other, in the mission of the school and the world.
“They that hope in the Lord will renew their strength, they will soar on eagles’ wings; They will run and not grow weary, walk and not grow faint.” – Isaiah 40:31
Ametur Cor Jesu – Loved be the heart of Jesus.
