Alex Facundus Signs To Play Baseball at Tulane
Catholic High Senior Alex Facundus has signed to play baseball at Tulane University in New Orleans.
Facundus, a pitcher and outfielder for the Bears, is a three-year varsity letterman. He was named to the All District Team his sophomore and junior years and was All Metro First Team and All State Honorable Mention. In 2009, he held the highest batting average for CHS and also had the highest home runs for the Bears.

An honor student, Facundus has a 3.9 cumulative grade point average and is a member of the National Honor Society.
íÍTulane is a perfect fit for Alex. He is an outstanding student and baseball player,íñ commented CHS Head Baseball Coach Kyle Achord. Tulane has everything Alex is looking for in academics and athletics and he will represent CHS well at Tulane,íñ added Achord.
Facundus will join CHS 2008 graduate D. J. Ponder who is also on the baseball team at Tulane.
Facundus is the son of Missy and Eddy Facundus í´81. He plans to major is biomedical engineering and to attend medical school. Alexí´s two brothers, Nicholas (11th grade) and Christian (8th grade) also attend Catholic High.
