Alumni Association Holds 13th Annual Taste Fair

The Thirteenth Annual Catholic High School Taste Fair was held on Sunday, November 11, 2012, in the Catholic High School Gymnasium. 

Twenty-eight of the finest restaurants, caterers and beverage distributors in and around the Baton Rouge area came to showcase samples of their very best creations. 600 alumni, guests and friends of Catholic High School gathered to experience a wonderful evening of food, friends and fellowship.

Door prizes were donated by Community Coffee, Hi Nabor Supermarket, Maxwellí´s Market, Houmas House and Whole Foods Market. Prize winners for the evening were Ben Canezaro í´69, Community Coffee gift basket; Steve Rosales í´86 and Elizabeth Jolly each won a $75 gift card from Whole Foods; Sarah Losavio, a gift card for a Houmas House Tour; Kaye Liles, Hi Nabor gift basket and Joseph Popadic, wine and gift certificate from Maxwellí´s Market. Cash prizes were won by Margaret Jolly, $100 cash prize; Edgar Kron, $150 cash prize and Joe Perrin, $250 cash prize. In addition, tables and linens were donated by Drusilla Seafood Restaurant.

Photos were taken by Wade Labat í´63 and CHS faculty member, Brad Messina. Proceeds from the event will benefit alumni activities on campus as well as to help fund the Alumni Association Scholarship.

Thank you to the chairman of this yearí´s event, Monty Buckles í´93 and to Sam Losavio í´66, Alumni Association president, Taste Fair committee members, Kyle Smith í´95 and Bryan Hart í´98 and the Alumni Association Board of Directors, who worked tirelessly selling tickets and assisting with set-up and take-down of the event. Glen Randow, director of Alumni Relations, Barbara Camp, associate director of Alumni Relations and members of the CHS Advancement Team also assisted.
