Annual Clay Shoot Draws Over 50 Participants

The Sixth Annual Alumni Association Sporting Clay Shoot was held at Hunterí´s Run Gun Club, Saturday, April 10, 2010.  A 75-target walking course designed by the staff at Hunterí´s Run challenged over 50 alumni and friends.  There were 14 teams competing for top team honors. Additional individual awards were presented for Top Gun, Most Potential and Young Gun.

The top team award went to Mark Jarreau, Russell Young, David Hood and Kane Altazan. Second place winners were the team of Matt Lane í´93, Bert Lane, Tim Welborn í´92 and Johnnie Seal. 
Third place honors went to the team of Joe Sanders, Phil Wells and Randy Brown. The coveted Top Gun award was won by Kane Altazan, Most Potential award was won by Richard Tilley, and Young Gun award was won by CHS sophomore Sean McManus.

The raffle for a Ruger Red Label shotgun donated by Lipseyí´s Inc. was won by Dana Vutera.

A delicious jambalaya lunch was provided by Pete Hymel and drinks were provided by the Baton Rouge Coca Cola Bottling Company.

Mark Emonet í´87 chaired this yearí´s event.  Committee members were Camp Matens í´60, Dana Vutera, Scott Ritter í´93 and Alumni Director Glen Randow.
