B.A.D.D. Club Visits Area Middle Schools

The CHS B.A.D.D. (Bears Against Destructive Decisions) Club along with the St. Josephí´s Academy I-CARE Club recently visited six middle schools to deliver anti-drug and anti-alcohol messages to the 5th grade classes. The B.A.D.D. and I-CARE Clubs partnered with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriffí´s Office D.A.R.E. (Drug and Alcohol Resistance Education) Program coordinated by Captain Randy Aguillard. The high school students spoke about issues involving alcohol, tobacco and drugs such as use/abuse, attitudes, peer pressure, social norming and prevention measures. The participating middle schools were St. Jude, St. Aloysius, St. Thomas More, St. Alphonsus, Sacred Heart and Our Lady of Mercy.  The B.A.D.D. Club members who visited the schools were Ryan Sandifer, Ben Schexnayder, Kean Jones, Ben Grandy, Connor Rabalais, Garret Broussard, David Wroten, Andrew Thriffiley and Zack Miller.
