Band Members Hold Camp, Performance To Prepare for Season
Last week, the CHS marching band members attended band camp ending with a public performance to prepare for the upcoming season. The band began rehearsals in early June with the percussion section and continued with new member training and Bruinette camp.
Last week’s camp was held at St. Aloysius to promote musical education in elementary schools. Throughout the day, families living in the area stopped by St. Aloysius to enjoy the music, and the band ended its week of work with a community performance held in the St. Aloysius gym.
The theme for this year’s performance is The Way of the Warrior. The music was written for the band members, allowing them to focus on their musical strengths. The band has rehearsed over 150 hours this summer and is ready to perform for CHS this upcoming year.
