Baseball Team Building Bonds On and Off the Field
The Catholic High Baseball team may not be sliding into home plate just yet, but they are already building bonds as a team. The team meets once a month for a Prayer Service in the Brothersí´ Chapel. They are led each month by a campus minister in a time of prayer and reflection. After the prayer service, the team gathers at a local restaurant for dinner.
íÍThe prayer services after school benefit our team in ways practice and workouts cannot. During these team bonding experiences, we become closer as a team and one step towards our goal of being a complete family,íñ commented Hunter Dí´Armond í´14, member of the CHS Varsity Baseball team.
On Thursday, September 27, the Bears held their second Prayer Service of the school year. Afterwards, they enjoyed dinner at TJ Ribs. Head Baseball Coach Brad Bass hopes to establish a strong sense of team work not only on the field but off of the field as well.
“I believe in the whole Catholic High experience. We are a family here. I believe that íîa family that prays together, stays togetherí´,íñ commented Head Baseball Coach Brad Bass.
Coach Bass also plans to involve the team in charity events as well as service projects throughout the community. The team will be participating in the Walk for Juvenile Diabetes on October 27.
