Baseball Team Shuts Out Notre Dame-Crowley 6-0

The Baseball Bears improved their record to 5-2 with a 6-0 victory over the Notre Dame-Crowley Pioneers at McMurry Park in Sulphur.  Junior righty Parker Evans (1-0) gave up one hit in six innings of work and senior Martin Morris struck out three in the final frame to preserve the victory.  Notre Dame did not reach third base in the game.

The Bears were led offensively by juniors Patrick Crifasi and Cole Johnson. Brandon Fairbanks came through for CHS with a big hit in the four run fourth inning to give the Bears some breathing room.

The Bears will face Sam Houston on Friday, March 4, at 5:45 p.m.  The game will be played at Sam Houston High School in the Lake Charles area.
