Basketball Bears Defeat Covington 60-48

The Catholic Basketball team is now 8-1 on the season after their 60-48 win on Tuesday night on the road at Covington. The Bears were led by Toliver Freeman with 20 points and Ethan Treigle poured in 10 points. 

The Bears are in action on Friday, Dec. 11 at home versus Plaquemine with varsity tipoff set for 7:15 p.m.  Plaquemine is coming off a quarterfinal run in the 4A playoffs during their 2014-2015 campaign.  

“The Green Devils will provide us with a challenge on Friday night.  Our goal is to head into exams with a 9-1 record,” stated CHS Head Coach Mark Cascio.

For Friday night’s game, all members of the state championship swimming and football teams in their team shirt will be admitted to the game free of charge.  Seniors from both teams will be recognized at halftime.
