Basketball Team Clinches Seventh District Win

Your Basketball Bears swept a double header Tuesday night with two dominating wins over the visiting Hornets from Scotlandville. The JV began the night with a convincing victory, and the Varsity followed suit with a 72-53 thrashing. The win was a tribute to the balanced attack of the Bears. Daniel Nelson led the way with 19 points, followed closely by Kevin Miller’s 17 points, John Darnall’s 16 points, Steven Duhe’s 12 points and Tanner Breaux’s 10 points. The Bears are now 24-8 and 7-0 in district.

The team will travel over to Woodlawn Friday night and will attempt to clinch their third consecutive district championship. JV tips off at 6 p.m. and Varsity at 7:15 p.m.
