Basketball Team Works with Local Kids at Free Sports Clinic
Members of the Catholic High basketball program participated in a free sports clinic put on by the Baton Rouge Sports Initiative and Go225 on Sunday, April 17. Coaches and players ran the basketball portion of the clinic playing games with kids in the Melrose East community at Saia Park. After playing for several hours, there was a short gospel reading session where participating kids were given the gift of sports equipment.
“It was a great opportunity for our program to serve others through the sport of basketball,” said head coach Mark Cascio. “Our coaches and players really responded, and we had a great turnout. I think everyone had a lot of fun.”
