Catholic High defeated Denham Springs 31-7 in its Distirct 5-5A game Thursday night.  The Bears were tied at half, 7-7 but broke open the game in the second half.   Zack Oliver connected with Blane Arnold for a touchdown followed by a pass to Jovhan Jilbert for a score.  Oliver threw to Brad Nelson who ran for a 51-yard touchdown and Scott Salinas scored on a 6-yard run.  Chris Sciambra kicked a 37-yard field goal.

CHS is 1-0 in District and will play District rival Central Oct. 2 at Central.
