Ben Guarisco Signs To Run Track at LSU

Ben Guarisco, class of 2009, has signed a letter of intent to run track at LSU.

Guarisco was the 5-5A State Champion in the 100 and 200 meter dash. He was also a member of the 4 x 100 relay team that captured first and the 4 x 200 team that took second at State. For his accomplishments, he was named Outstanding Performer at the State Meet.

Ben was also honored as a member of the All Metro Team and the All State Track Team for all classes.

‘I am very happy for Ben that he has the opportunity to run at a high power program like LSU. Ben is outstanding as an athlete, but more outstanding as a person,’ commented Head Track Coach Pete Boudreaux ’59.

At the Indoor Track Meet, Ben was state runner-up in the 55 and a member of the State Champion 4 x200 relay team.

‘I have always wanted to run in the SEC and for LSU. I am a LSU Tiger through and through,’ commented Guarisco.

Guarisco is the son of Pete and Gerre Guarisco and plans to major in biology. He wants to pursue a career as a veterinarian.
