Big Orange Wave Preps for the 2016 Season

The Big Orange Wave cross country team has begun preparations for the 2016 season and kicked things off with its annual Kleinert Avenue Time Trial.  The Trial took place on Wednesday, August 24, on the shaded Kleinert Avenue with the varsity running two miles and the junior high going for a mile.  

The top five varsity competitors in the two mile trial were: Caleb Dugas 10:13; Thomas Daville 10:14; Josh Durnin 10:39; Collin Hedges 10:39; and James Lalonde 10:47.  

Eighth grader Ben Langley paced the junior high with a clocking of 5:20.  Christopher Cuntz was a second behind in 5:21.  The next three runners were Luke Bella in 5:23, Ben Randow 5:56, and Walker Ridge in 5:58.  

Coach Pete Boudreaux’s charges kick the season off on Saturday, September 3, in The Bayou Boogie at Highland Road Park at 9 a.m.
