Brother Eldon 5K Draws Over 300 Participants

Great weather motivated more than 300 runners to participate in the 14th Annual Brother Eldon 5K Run and One-Mile Run/Walk/Jog on Saturday, March 9, 2013.

Runners were treated to fresh fruit provided by Hi Nabor and Capitol City Produce. Beverages were provided by Baton Rouge Coca Cola Bottling Company and Smoothie King. After the race, runners enjoyed delicious food in the CHS courtyard provided by Bill and Cynthia Steele, Peteí´s Lagniappe Catering and Frankieí´s Dawg House. Participants enjoyed live music by CHS alumni Brian Primeaux í´12, Mark Primeaux í´07, Philip Primeaux í´10 and Bryce Cain í´07.

This yearí´s 5K committee was co-chaired by Tr_ Hendry í´90 and John McLindon í´81. Hendry and McLindon were assisted by Sam Losavio í´66, Monty Buckles í´93, Sonny Carona í´57, Jason Cashio í´91, Jarrod Tramonte í´93, Ryan Perry í´95, Mark Emonet í´87, Denny Vicknair í´63, Tim Welborn í´92, Bryan Hart í´98, fellow members of the CHS Alumni Board of Directors and Director of Alumni Relations Glen Randow and Associate Director of Alumni Relations Barbara Camp. Also assisting were members of the CHS Advancement Team, Hal Dupuy í´73, Kate Brady, Angie Allen, Margie Alexander, Michele Huffstickler joined by Anamaria Olinde and her son Jonathan Olinde í´08.
