Brother Francis David, SC Inducted into CHS Hall of Fame

Brother Francis David, SC was inducted into the Catholic High School Hall of Fame December 2, 2010 at the 26th Annual Founders Banquet at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center. 

A graduate of Menard Memorial High School in Alexandra, LA., Brother Francis received a bachelorí´s degree in English Secondary Education at Spring Hill College, Mobile, AL; a masterí´s degree in English Education from Florida State University, and a doctoral degree from the University of San Francisco.

Brother Francis entered the religious order of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart in 1965 and made his profession of perpetual vows in 1975.  He has served in many roles as an educator including English teacher, department chair and assistant principal for discipline at Brother Martin High School in New Orleans and one year as athletic director at Catholic High School from 1979-1980. 
In 1984, Brother Francis returned to Catholic High to serve as principal until 1993 when he was named president of CHS.  He assumed this role until 2006 when he was elected Provincial of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart.  Brother Francis is currently the Admissions Director at E.D. White Catholic High School in Thibodaux, Louisiana. 

Dr. and Mrs. Quentin D. Falgoust, Mr. and Mrs. George A. Fischer and Mrs. Glynn F. Heroman were also honored as CHS Perpetual Founders for their generous donation of $100,000 or more to Catholic High School during their lifetime. 

Hal Dupuy served as the master of ceremonies of the 26th Annual Founders Banquet and Gene Tullier, CHS president, inducted Brother Francis David, SC in the Hall of Fame. 

Hal Dupuy, director of advancement, recognized the Alumni Association and Past Mothersí´ Club President Gwen Cotton and Past Mení´s Club President Scott Pecue for their contributions to CHS in the 2009-2010 fiscal year.  Dupuy also acknowledged Joe and Judith Kelly, 2009-2010 Parents Annual Appeal chaircouple, for their leadership with the annual appeal.

The CHS Advancement Office organized the event.
