Catholic High Remembers September 11, 2001

To all the men and women, including Catholic High alum Lt. Michael Scott Lamana ’88, who died on September 11, 2001, we offer special prayers this week for them and their familes.

A display honoring these men and women can be seen in the CHS lobby area until Monday, September 14.

Student Prayer written by Joey Vinning, CHS Class of 2010.

“Lord, in remembering the events of September 11, 2001, we recognize our great need for your guidance and protection.  We have painfully learned that our country is vulnerable and that violence can disrupt both individuals and nations.  We pray then for healing for all people whose lives were affected in the attacks on our nation.  We remember Lt. Michael Scott Lamana of the CHS class of 1988, who was killed on this tragic day.  We pray for those who defend our freedom.  We pray for wisdom for our national leaders.  And especially Lord, we pray for peace, for our country and our world.  Amen”
