Catholic High School Board of Directors Appoints New Principal effective July 1, 2011
The Board of Directors of Catholic High School has appointed Lisa Harvey Principal of the school, effective July 1, 2011.
Harvey holds a B.A. from Louisiana State University and a masterí´s degree in religious education from Loyola University in New Orleans. She has served in Catholic education for 17 years and began her tenure at Catholic High in 2000. She has chaired the religion department and served on the administrative team as Assistant Principal for Instruction and since 2004 as Academic Assistant Principal.
íÍIt is an honor and privilege to serve Catholic High School. My primary goal will be to continue and make visible on a daily basis the charism of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart as we continue to live out the mission of CHS. Catholic High will continue to be a leader in the formation of young men in the Baton Rouge area because of the dedicated faculty and staff who work so hard every day,íñ commented Harvey.

She is passionate about advancing the academic quality of CHS, and she has a clear vision for how to incorporate best practices into what is already recognized as a tradition of excellence at CHS. Brother Barry Landry, SC, current Catholic High Principal, has been appointed by the Provincial of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart to St. Stanislaus College in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi where he will serve as Academic Assistant Principal beginning July 1, 2011.
íÍI am profoundly grateful to have served the CHS community for the last 13 years, including the last seven as Principal. The Catholic High community has given me far more than I could ever give back and I will always treasure my relationship with Catholic High,íñ commented Brother Barry.
Beginning in the 2011-2012 school year, Pete Boudreaux will serve in a new capacity as Formation Director for Catholic High. Along with this new role, Pete will continue as Head Cross Country Coach and Head Track Coach.
In his new role, Boudreaux will coordinate the Parent to Parent Program, plan assemblies to address issues impacting students, serve as the liaison in the I Care Program, connect students with extracurricular opportunities at CHS, and mentor coaches and staff new to the school.
J.P. Kelly will assume the position of Athletic Director beginning July 1, 2011. He is currently serving as Assistant Principal for Discipline at Catholic High.
Serving with Harvey and forming the administrative team for 2011-2012 are Tom Eldringhoff, Academic Assistant Principal; Jason Hanks, Assistant Principal for Instruction; and Brian Hightower, Assistant Principal for Discipline.
