Catholic High School Seeks Applicants for Director of Communications Position

Position Announcement

Reporting to the Director of Advancement, the Director of Communications provides consultation to the president, principal and members of the school administration regarding marketing, communications and public relations. Doing this effectively requires a highly productive and collaborative relationship between the Director of Communications, other Advancement personnel responsible for Admissions and Alumni Relations and with school personnel such as those responsible for Athletics and Student Activities.

 

Responsibilities

The Director of Communications is responsible for overseeing all aspects of communication for CHS, both internal and external, including printed publications, newsletters, e-newsletters, annual reports, marketing, promotions, web communications, social media, crisis communications, media relations, displays, visual identity and brand management.  Some specific responsibilities include the following:

íç         Develop, implement and evaluate an annual communications plan for Catholic High School in collaboration with representatives of all its constituents

íç         Manage the development, distribution and maintenance of all print and electronic materials including, but not limited to, newsletters, brochures and the Catholic High School website

íç         Direct and coordinate with the Associate Director of Communications

íç         Lead, through close collaboration with the president, principal and other school staff, the planning, organization, publicity, execution and evaluation of the schoolí´s annual Open House

íç         Coordinate webpage maintenance to ensure that new and consistent information (article links, stories and events) is posted regularly

íç         Supervise and assist in planning faculty and staff recognition

 

Qualifications

Catholic High School is seeking an accomplished Director of Communications who has a bachelorí´s or masterí´s degree and at least 10 years of communication experience. The candidate must be a self-starter who can provide direction and leadership and who possesses a comprehensive skill-set in the areas of Communications and Public Relations.
