Catholic High Students Take Honors at Mu Alpha Theta Tournament
Catholic High students participated in the Mu Alpha Theta Tournament at Baton Rouge High School on January 15.
In the calculus division, CHS took first in ciphering/math bowl. Participating were Chris Sloas, David Stewart, Owen Collier Ridge and Blake Montalbano. In the pre calculus division, CHS also took first in ciphering/math bowl. Participants included Eric Rohli, Kurt Ristroph, Hunter Dupre and Corey Brignac.
In the Algebra II division, CHS took first in ciphering and third in math bowl. Austin Lala, Tyler Peairs, Devin Acar and Quin Mese participated.
Individual awards were to Chris Sloas, second in calculus; David Stewart, third in calculus; and Ben Wiseman, fourth in calculus. Eric Rohli placed third in pre calculus and Austin Lala placed first in Algebra II.
Catholic High took second in the interschool test and second in sweepstakes.
The Mu Alpha Theta club is moderated by Mrs. Peggy Patout, Ms. Nancy Patout and Mr. Remy Cosse.
