Catholic High School announces Dedication of Science Center
Catholic High School will dedicate its new Science Center on Sunday, September 11 at 5 p.m. on the school grounds.
The Center is a two-story, 26,000-square-foot facility that features 10 laboratory classrooms’two each for biology, chemistry, physics, environmental science and computer science. Both hard-wired and wireless technology is used throughout the Center to create multi-media presentations, to supplement lab experiences, to record data, to access computer-assisted experiments and to link knowledge learned across curriculum areas.
The Center is the second facility to be completed as part of Catholic High’s Master Plan. In 2002, CHS dedicated a 23,000-square-foot Health & Physical Education Center.
The Very Reverend John Carville, S.T.D., vicar general, diocese of Baton Rouge, will bless the building during the dedication ceremony.
