CHS All-Metro Teams Well-Represented
The fall semester proved to be a banner half year for Catholic High athletics as teams captured a state championship and two state runners up banners as well. The cross country team captured its second consecutive state title on the course in Natchitoches; the swim team picked up its second state runner up trophy in Sulphur; while the football team reached the Dome for the third time in the last four years, falling short on another state championship a couple weeks back.
The three teams were well-represented on the All-Metro teams released recently by The Advocate. The cross country team had an unprecedented ten runners on the first team with three landing on the honorable mention squad.
The CHS swim team landed six athletes on the All-Metro team selected by the Capital City Swim League. The Bears have dominated the CCSL for the last three decades.

The Catholic football team found five members collecting All-Metro honors: seniors Elijah Reames (defensive line); Jonathan Mestayer (defensive back); and Cole Cazenave (punter). Junior running back Josh Parker and center Brian Hibbard represented CHS on the offensive All-Metro squad.
All three teams were recognized for their fall achievements at the Fall Sports Convocation in the Catholic High gym on Tuesday, December 4th.
