CHS Announces New President

The Catholic High School Board of Directors announced that it has appointed Gerald E. (Gene) Tullier to be president of Catholic High School, effective July 1, 2006.

Tullier will succeed Brother Francis David, SC, who has been elected Provincial of the New Orleans Province of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart.

‘Catholic High School has an outstanding reputation for excellence ‘ in academics, athletics and facilities. I am excited to return to Baton Rouge and join the Catholic High School community. I look forward to continuing and building upon the tradition of excellence that has been characteristic of Catholic High School for so many years,’ commented Tullier.

As president of CHS, Tullier is the chief executive officer of the school. He oversees the budgeting and financing of the school and is responsible for the direction of the school’s policies in achieving the mission of CHS.

‘Catholic High School is truly fortunate to have a person like Gene Tullier as its new president. He is a man who possesses great leadership ability, who is dedicated to the educational mission of our Church, and who is thoroughly imbued with and committed to the charism of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart. I am confident that he and Brother Barry Landry, the CHS principal, will make a fine leadership team,’ commented CHS President Brother Francis David, SC.

Tullier has been married to Adriane Winchester Tullier for 30 years and they have three children ‘ Damien, Marcel and Jeanne.
