CHS Basketball, Wrestling and Soccer have Victorious Weekend

The CHS Wrestling Team captured the CHS Tournament Championship this past weekend, bringing their record up to 11-0.

The Bears beat Brusly High School in the finals 55-9. CHS came out on top in all matches of the tournament: Hahnville, 49-18; McKinley, 60-18; St. Amant, 49-12; and Teurlings 37-34.
Next up, the Bears will host Mandeville on Wednesday, Dec. 10, in the CHS Gym. The meet will begin at 6:30 p.m. The meet will be streamed live through the Bruin Broadcast Network. Click here to watch the meet live.

This past weekend also proved to be victorious for both the varsity and junior varsity Soccer Teams. Both teams defeated St. Amant with a score of 2-0.

The varsity points were scored by Brenner Keaton and Killian Neames. Neames on a penalty kick from a foul. The JV points were scored by Ben Curtis and James Feezel.
This win brings the varsity record up to 2-0-3. On Wednesday, Dec. 10, the Bears will travel to East Ascension. The game will begin at 6 p.m.

The CHS basketball team won its second consecutive tournament this past weekend as the Bears defeated Zachary 52-46 to win the John Herty Memorial Tournament. The team was led by Senior Michael Giorlando and Junior Toliver Freeman who were named to the All-Tournament Team. Freeman was also named MVP of the tournament.

The Bears are now 6-1 on the season and are back in action on Tuesday, Dec. 9, at home against Covington. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. The meet will be streamed live through the Bruin Broadcast Network. Click here to watch the meet live. http://www.bruinbroadcast.com/Home
