CHS Bear Bots Robotics Team Places 2nd At Spring RARC Competition

Catholic High placed 2nd in the Spring RARC Competition at STEM Academy of Pointe Coupee. The Bear Bots Robotics Team, which specializes in smaller robots, programmed their robot to navigate along the road, stopping at each colored circle. Students also wired the robot so that when it identified the correct color, it flashed a corresponding LED light. The final task for the robot was to sense and stop if an obstacle was placed in the path of the robot. Members of the Bear Bots High School team included Brandon Bourgeois, Michael deGraauw, Evan Goldsmith and Kevin Oubre. The 8th grade team was represented by Eric Schroeder and Robbie Martin.
