CHS Golf Team Moves To 4-0 With Win

The CHS golf team moved to 4-0 on the season with wins over Denham Springs and Runnels on Wednesday afternoon at Beaver Creek. The Bears shot 156 as a team to defeat its closest competitor, Denham Springs, by twenty-eight strokes. Stewart Perriloux was the individual winner of the match with an even par 36. Fellow senior Connor Wilson finished third overall with a 39.

Even though the Bears started slow, CHS golf coach Pat Dulaney was pleased with day two’s performance. “I was proud to see us play much better on day two, the guys worked through the struggles and found a way to win. It was good to see Stewart and Connor play well on Wednesday and even better to see senior William Lee improve.”

The varsity Bears return to the links on Monday, Feb. 22, at LSU for a 3 p.m. start.  CHS will face 5A Dutchtown, Ascension Catholic, and Runnels.
