CHS Golfers Go For Metro Title Today!
The CHS golf team competes today for the Metro Championship at Carter Plantation in Springfield. The Bears figure to be one of the top three contenders along with University High and Zachary.
Veteran D.J. Johnson is a familiar face for the Bears and is one of the top players in the metro area. Max Trapp and Luke Miller are fellow seniors who will be relied upon for solid play as the Bears compete for the championship. Sophomore Carson Caruso has the lowest average on the team, scoring a +1 for the regular season. Playing the best golf for the Bears down the stretch has been freshman Jonathan Ellis.
“We have the opportunity to compete for the prestigious Metro title which is the high school city championship for the Baton Rouge area. We have good balance on our team and are seven players deep with Nick Ashy and Will Perilloux also playing good golf and contributing to wins this season,” commented CHS coach Pat Dulaney.
The Metro match gets underway at 11a.m.
